ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role is essential to delivering the charities income targets for Trusts and Foundations and developing long term relationships. In addition, the post holder will support the Head of Income Generation with approaching, reporting, and maintaining Trust and Foundation relationships for major appeals.

he Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts and foundations. The role is responsible for growing LDCT’s trust and foundation income by increasing the amount and longevity of funding from current supporters, as well as building a portfolio of new trusts and foundations through research, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, updating the Funding Matrix and making successful applications. Building good relationships with new funders including regular reporting, as well as good stewardship of existing funders, is an important part of the role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Delivering on fundraising priorities and targets for trusts and foundations income, including our current and future major appeals.
2. Researching, identifying, and prioritising appropriate trusts and foundations to maintain and convert a pipeline of new, prospective trusts and foundations.
3. Working with colleagues across the organisation to help shape projects for funding and creating strong Cases for Support to ensure effective applications.
4. Writing and submitting high quality targeted funding applications.
5. Maintaining an effective stewardship programme for trusts and foundations including appropriate accurate records, ensuring the fundraising e-Tapestry database is kept up-todate and that fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely thank you letters and acknowledgements.
6. Managing relationships with existing and new funders to encourage maximum funding, multi-year funding awards and repeat funding.
7. Monitoring outcomes, updating the Funding Matrix and producing timely reports and information as required externally by funders and internally for Management reporting.
8. Promoting the support of funders through press releases and social media posts.
9. Adhering to standards of fundraising best practise as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practise and ensuring all activities comply with relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation

Do you wish to be part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team and support our Farming community? RABI, the leading UK farming charity, are seeking a fundraiser with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in generating income from trusts and foundations.

You must be a great communicator with experience in prospect research, writing funding proposals and developing relationships with trust representatives. This is an exciting time to join RABI as we develop a strategy aimed at raising seven-figure sums in 3-4 years to support the farming community.

As part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team, your main duties will be to research trust and foundations, create and send applications and steward relationship with current and future charitable trusts. As part of the team, you will also be involved in generating funds across various other income streams.

Key responsibilities:

• Research and identify charitable trusts which may provide future financial support to RABI whilst maximising the potential for giving from trusts with which the Charity already has a relationship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key trust representatives.
• Prepare, submit and monitor applications to charitable trusts including the maintenance of records of applications, grant receipts and successful/failed submissions. Ensure Trusts are thanked for donations in timely fashion.
• Updating the CRM system to ensure activities, communications, donations and other important details are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Compile statistical and background research to support the development of new and existing relationships with Charitable trusts.
• Monitor trust income for finance purposes, ensuring all donations or grants are coded appropriately, including any restrictions upon the use of the income.
• Creating monthly reports on trust income received.
• Support regular and individual giving, corporate, legacy and other income streams.
• Provide general administrative and wider Fundraising team support. 

Person Specification:

Essential

• A minimum of three years’ experience of successful trust fundraising.
• A good understanding of fundraising disciplines. 
• A pro-active team player who is also self-motivated and confident working independently.
• A good communicator, whether face to face, by telephone, virtual calls or in writing.
• Able to convey complex information accurately, succinctly and engagingly.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, agile and resilient, with the ability to focus, prioritise and manage all aspects of this varied role in a fast-paced environment.

The role: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. About the role:

This fundraiser will work closely with the Heads of Departments and academics in the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences. The post will focus primarily on funding for research, academic posts, scholarships and infrastructure related to Neuroscience which includes Mental Health and neurological disease (e.g. Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Epilepsy). The fundraiser will work on special projects including the possible major capital redevelopment of the Warneford site. While an interest in medical research and neuroscience is essential, you do not need to be a sciences graduate, just an enthusiast for knowledge.

Arts Emergency – Head of Fundraising

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities. 

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers.  After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. This position will be responsible for raising the necessary income to ensure Arts Emergency’s high-quality, person focused, asset-based services for young people are sustainably funded and can

The Head of Fundraising will have a particular focus on managing and growing the charity’s income from individuals and organisations, with an aim to increase overall fundraising to £1.25m in 2026.

Arts Emergency are seeking candidates that are passionate about building and developing strong teams and who can implement ambitious plans for funding work by making best use of their large community of young people, volunteers and organisations across the Arts, Humanities and in the Cultural and Creative industries. You will be an inclusive leader with the ability to inspire and motivate others, with a strong understanding of charitable income streams gained from experience working at a similar level in a small organisation or in a senior position within a larger organisation/team. Finally, you will be experienced in developing fundraising strategies through to implementation and evaluation, with a creative and proactive approach to developing and deepening relationships with stakeholders.

First Give was founded in 2014 to inspire, equip and motivate young people to make a difference to the causes they care about. As we approach our second decade, it is an exciting time to join the charity. Our vision is of a more generous society where all people are willing and able to give their time, money and skills to causes that they care about. 

We are currently developing a new strategy which by which we aim to have reached a million young people by 2034. We intend to do this by developing new programmes and activities that will support us to achieve our mission: to create opportunities for young people to be inspired and empowered to give their time, money or skills to charities and causes that matter to them. Our existing programmes are delivered in partnership with schools across England and Wales, ensuring that as many young people as possible, regardless of their background have the opportunity to take part. 

As second most senior leader in the charity, the Deputy Director will provide leadership to the First Give team and support the Board of Trustees and Director with strategy and governance. 

The Deputy Director will play an integral role in the development of the charity as we move into our second decade. They will spearhead our fundraising, communications and marketing to ensure the charity has the capacity to deliver against our strategic goals.

Key responsibilities 

Organisational Leadership and line management 

• Deputise for the Director when necessary 

• Provide leadership and positive role modelling to the First Give team 

• Support organisation-wide improvements and innovation, including strategic planning and organisational structure 

• Develop connections and networks that increase the profile and opportunities for the charity 

• Work with the Director and Head of Programmes to create opportunities for young people to influence and engage with our work and impact 

• Line management of our Administrator 

Fundraising 

• Work with the Director and consultants to own and implement a robust fundraising strategy to support the organisation as it executes its new strategic plan 

• Develop processes for managing fundraising applications and stewardship of existing funders and supporters 

• Write and submit high quality, inspiring and tailored funding applications and reports for trusts and foundations (expected to be in the region of £10,000-150,000) 

• Identify and develop potential new funding opportunities for First Give, including major donors and corporate funders 

• Manage relationships with a set number of key funders, ensuring that we proactively seek feedback, engagement and involvement in our work 

New School Partner Recruitment 

• Oversee and co-ordinate all new school partner recruitment sales and marketing activity 

• Work with our marketing agency to develop and implement marketing campaigns 

• Support the Programmes Team to recruit new partner schools in priority regions 

• Proactively seek opportunities for growth of the First Give partners network 

• Develop and design and production of marketing and sales resources to support all sales activity 

• You may also be required to deliver sales meetings with networks including Headteacher meetings and attend conferences to promote the work of the charity 

Communications 

• Lead the development and manage the delivery of our communications strategy, including all messaging to key stakeholders via a range of appropriate channels, including newsletters, social media and our website 

• Be responsible for the First Give website, ensuring it is up to date, relevant and meets the needs of the organisation 

• Brand champion, ensuring that all external communications and resources are aligned with our brand identity and tone of voice 

• Management of retainer with external design agency

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Passionate about young people and their potential to drive social change 

• Leadership experience, ideally in a charity of similar complexity and scale 

• Ability to triage between the strategic and operational with ease and confidence 

• Demonstrable success as a fundraiser, particularly bid-writing, reporting and funder stewardship 

• Experience of developing and implementing a communications strategy 

• Experience of creating a range of content for different audiences and channels including marketing materials, newsletters, blogs, social media content etc… 

• Experience developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies, preferably in the education sector 

• Experience of writing and managing budgets, delivering plans using resources available 

• Track record of stakeholder management at senior levels 

• Experience of working in or with teachers and schools 

• Excellent presentation skills, with an ability to deliver concise, engaging and persuasive presentations 

Desirable 

• Experience leading the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing activity and campaigns

The Orchard Project is recruiting a Head of Fundraising to develop and implement their income strategy as they enter an exciting period of growth and continue their mission to unite, empower and educate by bringing orchards into the heart of urban communities.

Who we are.

The Orchard Project brings orchards into the heart of urban communities, along with the many benefits they provide: environmental, physical, mental, social, and educational. They are the only national charity dedicated to the creation, restoration and celebration of community orchards.

For many hundreds of years, orchards were a key part of communities across the UK. But sadly, due to urban development, many of these green spaces, which are hubs of biodiversity, have disappeared. The Orchard Project’s mission is to reverse this decline and ensure everyone in cities across the UK is within easy reach of a thriving community orchard.

They also provide accredited horticultural courses and training with a view to increasing employment and representation amongst marginalised communities and host events and activities centred around orchards to improve community cohesion.

About the role.

As Head of Fundraising and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with the CEO to devise the organisation’s fundraising strategy as they enter a positive and ambitious new five-year plan.

There is a very well-established trust and foundation fundraising programme, which you’ll work to continue and expand, building on existing relationships and spotting opportunities to create new partnerships with relevant funders. Using creativity, you will secure multiyear unrestricted six-figure grants from an array of grantmakers as you continue the diversification of this income stream.

The charity is continuing the expansion of its fundraising strategy to incorporate new income streams, a project you’ll spearhead with the launch of digital fundraising. You’ll target individual givers to open up new revenue sources through digital sources as you tap into the goodwill for the charity and its work across the nation.

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser and emotionally intelligent manager with expertise in imaginative bid-writing for significant multiyear grants. A combined strategic and operational outlook will be crucial to this role and the success of fundraising.

You will be process-driven but creative with a desire to try new things and collaborate with colleagues to create new and exciting projects to attract funders and expand the charity’s impact.
